The Scirè submarine

The Scirè Submarie is a World War II Italian submarine which was sunk by a British torpedo during an attack mission in the summer of 1942.

The Scirè was discovered in 1984 during an archeological survey in the Haifa Bay. During the year some parts of the submarine pulled out from the water and were sent to Italy to be used in a memorial monument.

The submarine lies at a depth of about 33 meters.
